Procedural Elements

While the basic earth elements have appeared in my work in various incarnations , they now effect my art at the very moment of executing the creative process.

My earlier paintings were created by the use of traditional techniques and processes. The new series "creation universe" is conceived, and executed not by mixing water with pigments or paint, as in watercolor painting, rather these are done on water. After the primed masonite is totally saturated with water, an oil based paint is applied while the surface of the board is wet. The procedure may involve a single application of colors, or a sequence of repeated applications of water and color.
